Victoria Herrera was born in 1964 Panama City, Panama. The artist now Resides in Nueva York. She has done numerous intensive workshops with some of the most important representational artists currently. To name a few, Casey Baugh, Steven Assael, Jeremy Lipking. In 1986 She attended Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. In 2007 Herrera attended a private mentorship with Nelson Shanks and Mark Tennant in New York. In 2008 the artist took a Four-Year Intensive Mastership Core Program at the Grand Central Atelier in New York.
Victoria is an internationally known representational artist who is well known for her very large scale flower paintings and her figurative and portrait work. She entered her first group show at the age of fifteen. She is a realist artist who paints in a highly symbolical and contemporary style, yet her technique is highly rooted in techniques used by the Old Masters of the 16th ~ 19th Centuries.
