Yasbel Pérez Domínguez was born in Camagüey, Cuba in 1970. She is a painter who graduated from the Professional School of Plastic Arts in Camagüey. Yasbel arrived at ISA in 1990 with a work that combines quotes from nineteenth-century painting that allude to the glamor of fashion magazines and patchwork additions.
Her work is characterized by the use of the illusionist technique and the neoclacisist style of the 19th century. His creations border on the photographic realism of the British neo-romantic of the 1950s. Yasbel is listed alongside pop artists.
