About This Painting

Thousands of hectares of tropical forest disappear every year due to indiscriminate felling, and to the acts of devastation to which periodically large extensions of virgin jungle and territories declared forest reserves are subjected. As members of a society that claims to be civilized, and committed to defending the environment, we are obliged to reflect on the role we have to guarantee a habitat that allows appropriate conditions for generations to come. By superimposing the industrial firefighting elements on the jungle scene, a direct dialogue is established between the viewer and the vegetable problem, apparently far from the urban environment. That is the intention that predominates in this series.
